Level 1

In this level, you’ll receive 14 hours of CE training on the basics of dental sleep medicine and TMJ disorders. This level is the baseline for all the other information included in the Spencer Study Club.

Level 2

In level 2, you’re going to get 12 total hours of CE training (with certificates upon completed quizzes!) that will help you be 100% confident in delivering quality clinical care to the patients in your facility.

Oftentimes, this is where people get hung up - they know the basics and they have an understanding of how things work, but when it’s time to interact with the patient, you and your staff may feel gun-shy.

Level 3

Level 3 is designed to immerse you in the world of TMD - diagnosis, treatments, and everything in between. This is a true intensive on what you’re going to experience and work with in your practice… which means you’ll quickly become the expert in all things TMJ.

Level 4

Level 4 is my nod to all the CE courses out there that DON’T teach you how to make more money saving the world - after all, just because our mission is to help people and make a difference in our community… doesn’t mean we have to go broke doing it!

In these 8 hours of content, you’re going to get the strategies that will allow your practice to thrive using all the other information you’ve learned.

Level 5

Level 5 is my Sleep Disorders Deep Dive Series - dedicated solely to helping you recognize, diagnose and treat the sleep disorders in your patients. Many times, our patients come to us for unrelated issues (such as routine cleanings and cavities) but we can diagnose sleep disorders simply by spending a little extra time with them and their mouths!

"About six years ago or so, one of my orthodontic colleagues asked me if I was involved in dental sleep medicine. At that point, I did not even know what he was talking about. Since then, I’ve taken a great number of sleep programs trying to educate myself on this important aspect of dental practice. I did the Pankey mini-residency, Jonathan Parker’s Advanced Program and the Tufts mini-Residency. I also heard Allen Moses, Martin Denbar, James Metz, Alan Lowe, John Tucker and Mark Abramson, Then I connected with Jamison Spencer and his Spencer Study Club. After 36 years of clinical practice and 20 years of clinical teaching, at both Tufts and Harvard, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that is is the best educational program with which I have ever been involved. Just superb! The material available to the Study Club members is totally comprehensive for the practice of dental sleep medicine. It really put it all together for me. Of course, being able to review the material multiple times was particularly helpful. There is also a large volume of material covering TMD diagnosis and treatment because of the overlap between sleep dentistry and TMD. What really makes the study club unique, special and such a great value is the access to Dr. Spencer himself. If I have a question about some aspect of sleep dentistry or TMD, all I need to do is post it on the SSC’s Facebook page, and I’ll typically have an answer is less than an hour. I feel much more confident clinically with this kind of support. "

"I have taken many courses for sleep apnea and TMD over the years, so joining the Spencer Study Club was an obvious fit for me. Then online library videos are very well done, including Jamison’s “no B.S.” mantra. Yes, it is what you think it means, but also to “not buy stuff”, encouraging you to think what is happening and why, and thus being able to diagnose and treat your patients better. You don’t have to rely on expensive instrumentation to achieve success. The SSC online Mentoring Group through Facebook is an excellent resource to present cases and questions for Dr. Spencer and other like-minded doctors, again improving your skills and outcomes. I highly recommend the Spencer Study Club. Stay home and learn!"

"I have studied dental sleep medicine and have tried managing patients with sleep apnea in my office for over a decade. During that time, I have jumped from one reputable continuing education series to another, hoping that my questions would be answered, and the uncertainty I have when practicing dental sleep medicine and TMD will be resolved. This left me with more information but also more questions and more uncertainty. Joining Spencer Study Club was one of the best things that I have done in this journey to provide reputable and proper dental sleep medicine services to my patients. It is a convenient, cost-effective way to get information through the online lecture modules. This in and of itself makes joining the study club worth it. There are hours and hours worth of CE that takes you from a beginner level to advance level. This is great for someone like me because taking many courses over many years have left me with gaps in my knowledge that I did not realize. But the most unique and truly beneficial aspects of joining Spencer Study Club is two-fold: 1) Jamison Spencer as a mentor and 2) real time feedback from study club members. Jamison is experienced, down to earth and practical in his approach to treatment. He shares his decades-worth of knowledge and expertise in this field both clinically and administratively as a practice-owner. This has helped me numerous times in implementing this mode of practice in my office. This is one of the missing links in my years of CE courses - real-time, practical, and up-to-date help in implementation. The private Facebook discussion board is also invaluable. Member dentists are from different backgrounds and expertise participating in real time, at all hours of the day and night, to help answer your question or give you feedback. Sometimes, most times, many of us know what approach we'd like to take in managing our patient. This feedback system allows us to deliver the care we have planned with confidence. In addition, we also approach our treatment armed with some second-hand knowledge from others who have already handled the same situation. It gave me information on what to look out for, or possible next steps if the patient does not respond as I expected. The Spencer Study Club discussion boards has helped me to apply what I have learned into day to day practice. I look forward to continuing to be a member and continuing to learn and grow in this field with my fellow SSC members. I wish SSC was available when I was first starting out learning in this field. I could have saved myself a LOT of time, money and frustration. Jamison, I can not thank you enough for putting this together. "
